Besides starting up the Ray hobby I'm also looking into starting into a bamboo shark aquarium. I've been thinkin about building my own 300g aquarium but I'm the type who is always over nervous than others. Don't want this thing to bust or end up having leaks. Cuz I will be building it right in my living room where it's going to sit. Don't wanna be carrying this thing around to much. Just nervous. Plan on using 3/8th or 1/2 inch glass. Thinking about doing this becuz of cost. Tanks r just too damn expensive nowadays. And it doesn't seem to hard to build, alls they do is have to frames bottom and top then silicon? Any thoughts or suggestions??

There is a sticky at the top of the DIY section that covers many of the builds that have taken place here, I would start by reading through some of those so you have an idea of how you want to build it and what sealant you are going to use. I just finished my 315G build and there is a link to that build at the bottom of my post. You will need 1/2" glass! Oh, plan, plan, plan!
