Curiously, what are the differences between Built-in overbox and Holes drilled on the side? what do you prefer to have and why?

i was having this exact conversation not even an hour ago... we also had no real answers...

ive got a 60 gallon with built in overflows.. but they are set up to hold media and pumps so that with a moderate bioload all filtration can be done internaly without any external filtration...

The Price! :D

cheaper with the hole

it cost $25-$30 per drilled hole (usually it needs one or two)

and

the overflow box cost $100+ each

:D
