How good do you suppose this bulb is at growing plants.

I replaced my standard bulb with this one because it has a blue feel and makes my fish look better. I have had luck growing the plants I have(java fern) with pretty much any bulb but I wanted to know how this bulb will work in a fish tank.

I don't know about that bulb specifically... but the best luck I've had with plants if buying the cheapest bulb I can find, and replacing it every 6 months. The UV light in direct contact with the plants has always made me nervous, even though it does happen IRL. Expensive bulbs usually try to cut out the middle of the light spectrum where most the algae seems to thrive on... and since I use Moss Balls (which are technically Algae) as well as many other plants, it just does not work out well. Knowing so little about this bulb, and the fact that its labeled for Reptiles (probably an awesome bulb for turtles) I would avoid it.

Okay then I will swithch back to my other bulb then. I know for a fact that bulb grows plants well. i will be getting a better bulb anyway tho.
