I have a 48in shoplight with one actinic and one corallife bulb. It has been setup for about 6 months and was working fine until last week. All of a sudden when it comes on it is barely bright at all. If i tap it it turns all the way on and if i leave it alone most of the time it wil get brighter after a while. What should i do? I have already taken the bulbs out and put them back in to make sure they are in right.

Hard one to tell unless you have extra bulbs to try. It could also be the starter if there is one in it.
Bulbs are a cheaper fix and trial tho.
I have one that used to do that (different model) and it seemed that the starter wasn't firing properly and that would cause the bulb to stay dimm for a while, then brighten up.

try new bulbs. its the cheapest place to start. I assume there is no starter if its a shop light, and if thats the case its the ballast.
Also you can look to see if the balast has any black soot like stuff coming out of the seams. Thats usually a good indication that the ballast is bad.
