bulb replacement ??

wanted to get an idea of the bulbs you are using when replacing exsisting flourscent standard fixtures, such as the All Glass brand (T12-T8)? It's for a non-planted freshwater tank, depth around 24", the exsisting bulbs cast a yellowish tint to the water. What replacement bulbs are you using that highlight the colors of your fish, have a nice fresh look? Any pics of your tanks would be appreciated in this thread..:popcorn:

Flourescant lamps output drops to 80% after the first year of 50% continous duty. You should change them at that point, as the efficiency is noticeably less, and the output spectrum will no longer be in spec. This may adversely affect your plants and increase your power bill.
