My teugslsi (cb) has a habit of gorging itself and then barfing it up when another meal presents itself and then eating the new food. I end up feeding raw items like, krill and tilapia to the polys and pellets to the cichlids. But this teugelsi decides it want to eat more so it makes room. Seems like the barfing happens more when it gorges on krill or pellet food, have not seen it throw up tilipia.

Anyway weird behavior, anyone else have polys that do this?

That is weird... I've not experienced this myself. Wonder what others have to say.

My ornate is similar... Stuffs themselves to bulging and then throws up randomly if it wants something else. Ive also never seen it with raw food, just pellets

With raw it will throw up just krill, never with tilapia or cut up shrimp (no shell, just meat). I wonder if it has to do with the little bit of shell material the krill have. But Ive seen it happen with pellet food a few times too. Does not happen with every meal but have seen it a number of times now.

Seen my ansorgii do it on tilapia. Not often. It's probably a natural reaction to eating too much. Polys will do that 'barfing motion' and nothing comes out on occasion. Especially if fed often. Don't believe it's a link to bulimia due to clothes being too tight. :-)

Maybe the teug is thinking about getting into skinny jeans

Ive had a few different polys over the years and this is the only one to show this behavior. Seems most of my captive born had tendencies to over eat, but this is the first Ive seen to throw up food to make room for something else. I really dont think it would look good in skinny jeans since it has a muffin top.
