Anyone out their buying there ray foods bulk in the UK interested in prices your paying for whitebait etc. I usually buy mine in cases usually 30 packs at a time.
because my fishmongers are so un-reliable and my supplier has now decided to stop supplying whitebait. Anyone know any good places?

If you are buying 30 packs the. I expect a wholesaler in the aquatic trade would supply you, have you tried someone like aquatic live foods?

In that volume I expect you could buy at a fish auction straight off the trawlers

Ruto in Holland supply my local LFS, I buy 6 x 1Kg bags at a time and pay about £12 a bag. If you're able to buy/store larger quantities then Ruto may be willing to supply direct to you.
They deliver to Hertfordshire once a week and may travel as far up as you.

white bait is crap with feeding its all about keeping the water as clean as poss and food type plays a big part in that

i buy the cheap bulk bags of prawns from iceland and bulk buy pellets hikari sturgeon hikari ciclid gold and massivore the mix them all in a big tub

white bait sprats beefheart mussel all mess up the water way to much

thanks guys for you help... Ill try that mix t1karmann

you can buy the hikari gold off ebay for about £24 inc delivery for £24 for 1380g the med size pellets then the sturgeon med size pellets £29 for 2kg then the mass pellets £18 for the large packs you need to buy 2 to get free delivery from vet pet then mix it all up and it should give you over 4kg

the sturgeon pellets are good as they are high in protein

i have some cheaper sturgeon pellets on order £18 for 4kg they have the same content as mass pellets but i want to see how they go first and if they cloud the water

with the Iceland prawns just stock up when its buy on get one free

Ok thanks again will give it a go....you will have to let us know your findings on your new sturgeon pellets.
I have researched sturgeon pellets before never tried them with my rays I did find that they are high protein.
Curious to know how long that kind of mix would last your rays?

I feed one full mug full of pellets a small tea cup plate of prawns and abot 40 giant meal worms per day just one feed per day some times I have to add another half a mug full of pellets
