I setup my first drilled tank (:clap) But I'm worried about my fish being sucked into the bulkheads... Anybody have any ideas or diy bulkhead covers?

Thanks! Anyone have some diy plans out there? Idk if I can wait on these to get here...

There is a thread where someone used egg crate and a hole saw to cut out a piece that fits inside the PVC. Mad a very cool looking strainier.

Wait, on of them was on the DIY thread. I'll get it.

Lol! Trust me, I've read every page of that thread. I just realized that 1" pvc will fit in both ends of the bulkhead, so I'm gonna run out and get some of those shower drains asap.
the only problem with those is that your reducing how much the 1" will flow as the grate holes will not equal out to the cross sectional of the 1" pipe.

Right now I have a 1" elbow turned upwards so the water drains right into them. So unless my fish get curious and swim above them we shouldn't have any issues. I think I'm actually just gonna put a cap on a 5" piece of 1" PVC and drill some holes and cut some slots in it...

That should do it.
