Hi mfk I just got this 180 acrylic tenecor.
I am trying to plug all 5 bottom drains.
Seems like I keep getting leaks.
Any advice on what I'm doing wrong, should I use Teflon tape or silicone?
Thanks in advance mfk.

The leaks seem to be tiny and showing up on the bulkhead threads. I don't want to start siliconing each bulkhead in case I add a sump in the future.
I have Teflon tape but I read that it can cause a leak in the future.
Anyone in Miami that can come help me take care of this.
I have lots of extra fish supplies/cash?

The rubber gasket should make the seal watertight. If it's still leaking then PTFE tape usually does the trick. As you've mentioned you don't really want to go down the silicone route.

I wanted to ask if anyone thinks I should change some bulkheads to thicker ones I think I have 40 and 80?
Seems the 3 new ones I just got are smaller than the 2 original ones that came with the tank?
They are all 1" bulkheads though and the smaller ones seem to sit well.

I been researching some more on this and read on reef central that I should put this stuff on the threads?
If I use any pipe dope or great white paste will the bulkheads end up being permanent?
