Would a 2" bulkhead be large enough to drain 1500 gph into an overflow from a rubbermaid 300? If not is there any advantage of using two 1.5" vs one 2.5" bulk heads? I'm trying to drill as few holes in the rubbermaid as i can. Thank you for your input.

2" should be able to keep up with that, but I would do 2 2" in case one gets clogged/blocked

I have a 1" running on 500gph brand new pump so i think u need bigger imo but i only have one pond with bulkheads

use multiple bulheads, id personal;ly use 4 1" thats gonna do more then 2 2" ones

MATH CLASS

area of 1 inch is pi x .5 x .5 or pi x .25

using four 1 inch is pi x ,25 x 4 = pi

for 2 inch the aera is pi x 1 x 1 = pi

using two 2 inch is pi x 3= 2pi

so two 2 inch will have twice the flow as four 1 inch fittings :)
