So i recently purchased an acrylic tank off a mfk member and didn't notice but the bulkheads are on backwards. I tried to take the smaller bulkhead off but it ended up breaking so i have to replace it but the larger one is still on backwards. Any tips on how to get it off? There is hardly any wiggle room and its in a center overflow box. Lol.

Smaller bulkhead was hell getting off. I had to use a flat head and hammer. Lol.

Trying to get larger bulkhead off without breaking it but I have no wiggle room to work with. Also auto spell is killing my spelling. Lol.

If you look in the hole of the bulkhead, sometimes there are slots built in. They are there to help you spin or hold the bulkhead while installing. In your case, I'm assuming when you say installed backwards, you mean the nut is inside the overflow. If so, you can probably spin the bulkhead from the outside to free it from the nut.

Yes nuts inside the overflow box. I'll look later and hopefully get it off.

....I'd like to know how the original owner put them on backwards....that in itself is pretty talented lol.

I'd lay the tank on its back, get a long crescent wrench and a friend and try it that way....have the friend hold the bottom half with a pipe wrench or something while you attempt to jimmy the other half inside the overflow...

I've made a makeshift wrench out of a piece of plywood before. Kind of like a open end wrench.
