THat's not a common size hole. Perhaps the person who originally did thid used a pve fitting or something (seen it many times)
Simple solution; re-drill the hole to 1 1/2" or 1 3/4". THen you could add the common 3/4" or 1" bulk head. If it's acrylic this is very simple, if it's a glass refuge, it's a little harder but still very do-able.
