i was just wondering what everyone uses to glue their bulkheads together? or do you just hand tighten them and leave it at that?

If you are talking about actually attaching the bulkhead itself, I just tighten them and go on about my business.

I like to use the threaded bulkheads. Then, just add a little teflon tape and screw it in. But for the slip bulkheads, you will have to PVC cement the parts on to them.

Yes, very...that`s why we all drink bottled water and not the water flowing through the pvc in our house.
:D:D:D
You don`t have to fret over the toxicity of the cleaner/cement used to join pipe.
Perfectly safe.

Just remember to let it fully cure and dry off it is toxic if water touches the thing, bonds in 5-10 min, usually hardens in 30 min, and cures in 12-24hrs.
Once you smell the stuff you'll understand

I make sure and only buy PVC cement that says "pottable water" on it, meaning it is safe for you and your fish. I am no expert but I'm sutre there are kinds of cement out there that are not safe as they don't list that anyhwhere on the container.

alright thanks everyone i just didnt want a catastrophic ending to all my fish ;) thought i would ask and be perfectly clear.
