im thinking about getting a yellow or brown bull head and i was wondering what are some of the things i should becarefull about. if going into a tank by itself

Lol. Ya u could say that. Catfish are quite messy and excrete a lot of NH4 which messes with uour water quality if you havent enough bio filtration, so my suggestion is 1. High turnover rate 2. Lots and lots of bio filtration

No. Worst really plus with a channel you will need a very large tank/pond. My albino in my avatar was 30" when he died. Idk what kind of setup you have but channels get to large for most

Also depends on what size bullhead you get. They are rather laid back fish that are very inquisitive. These fish are very powerful and very agile. If they don't want something in their territory, they will move it. My bullhead sounded like he was cracking the glass, I found out he was biting and slamming the air stone against the glass treying to make it leave his space. You will love your bullhead!!

Bullies are great! My fave catfish definately. I had a brown that had the greatest personality. He'd swim across the tank and watch people. You'll love having one :D

Some of mine have gotten very aggressive with age, but the trio I have right now is doing well, they grow much slower than some of the larger species.

there very sweet, i have 8 brown bull heads. will go in my pond soon out back. they eat like pigs lol,
