He's still a little guy approx. 2.5", but I hear they get one of the largest mouths of any plecos....

Nice, I just bought one a couple of weeks ago, what are you feeding yours? I cant get mine, to take algea wafers.
Mine just eat flakes that fall to the bottom, and of course algea on decor.
However, if you're worried then add some drift wood if you don't already have it. Also you can use weekend feeders, I drop some in every once in a while.
