same here in cali .when i was a kid we had a stream to catch them as feeders.

in so cal theyre alittle hard to find, just because theres not very much water anywhere, its way easier to find a tadpole and raise it, but bull tads take forever to grow up.ive caught hundreds of bullfrog tadpoles, but ive never caught a single bullfrog

Thats pretty much why i can't catch one. Only place with any, you get within 10 feet, and they rocket into the water. :nilly:

i know! its fun and all but not very productive :D

equally cool and much easier to catch around here is a crawdad i had four of em in a 175 gallon with a little painted turtle, they got pretty fair size for a shrimp, they were kinda creepy though they grabbed at the turtle a few times and watched us

but if not try to get a tadpole or two!

Thanks for the help guys. I was looking for one because one of mine managed to get away from my during a tank cleaning, and went in a spot where i couldn't get him. I figured he wouuld end up drying up back there, but I found him this morning :D
