In the spring I will be putting 4 or 5 baby bullheads in my 75g. My plan is to go to where I will be catching the bullheads from and fill up a very large container with water from that lake. I will then put that water in my tank to start the cycle and create water alot like what their used to. Does anyone think there will be problems with doing this? thanks alot.:)

i think that it is best to let the tanks cycle for a week or two first. You could unintentionally introduce unwanted bugs or parasites. Just net them lut of the bucket and they will be fine. A slight change in there water will not put them into shock, they are very hardy. So no, do not dump in lake water.

2 things. i once introduced 10 3inch bullheads into my 75 and my tank was polluted within 2 hrs. they are savages and peeeeeeee like there's no tomorrow, it's crazy! then i dropped to 5, same result. i ended up releasing all of them withing 6 hrs. i traded them for my yellow bullheads. what kind are you thinking of getting as they all grow to different sizes and have different ecosystem requirements.

I have a bullhead in my 35G. I cought him in the summer time and put him in the pond. Now hes living in the aquarium. Dosn't bother anybody but I think its because their to big to fit into his mouth.

sponge filter, AC110 (2), constantly ran 3 foams and 3 carbons on my 75. the fingerlings were just absolute beasts! they wouldn't slow down and constant waste.

i now have 2 yellow bullheads about 7 inches. i'll photobucket them in a few. they have an ac110, driftwood and a bunch of plastic plants. i could drink the water. wouldn't. but could. :D

I'd like to get some Bullheads, If anyone is selling some brown or yellow bullheads around the size of 6-7 inches, I'd be interested in buying one or two off of you and I would need it shipped to New York.

Anyone selling hit me with a PM!

Thank You
