Is it possible to keep them both together in a big tank? or will they scuffle around and fight?

I've kept both species before but never together. Channel cats get much, much bigger then bullheads. You might have some issues down the road.

I think that would be a problem as well

If the tank is big enough you can do it. I have them both in my pond, and I get fry from both.

I agree, both can work in a very large tank with lots of hiding places or a pond. My experience comes from keeping my yellow bullheads in tanks and ponds. The channel cats were always outdoors in a pond. What are you thinking about keeping these two species in xspainx69?

if you were to do it you would need lots of space and smaller hiding places only that the bullheads could fit into
