Knee deep in fish
What is the ideal temp for my blue bullhead.I caught him in a soda cup about 6or7 yrs ago he is about 11in long I got him in a lake that freezes in the siearras.I've keept him in low to mid 70s his whole life but I want to do the best for him I can He has always looked great, eats like a horse, and has always been super healthy any input woult be great.

Low 70's is fine. Bullheads are very hardy, but don't use a heater.

i kept bullhead even in 29 30 celsius degree for some part of time and they were fine

Niblit, did you happen to catch him at a rest stop off of 80? There is a pond there that has literally thousands of baby bullheads, and it freezes over in the winter.

If he's been doing great for that long in the temperature you keep don't worry about it.

He came from union resivior near Ebbet's pass.I'd post pics of him and my big guys but this is a new computer and I now need a camera that works with windows vista

bullhead are my favorite fish, i caught mine at 2.5", it is now 7"! ,i have only had him for 6 months. You seem to be doing it right, so id keep it what it is a t that temp is fine, what do u feed him and what size tank is he in?
