Does anyone know if any of these fish can be kept and bred in a 20?

Well I think blue gills need to be good size for them to breed. I could be wrong. That what ive seen fishing for them.

What kind of darters are you looking into. I just got a long lesson on most of the begginers darters. I would say contact drewish, dredcon, or skipjack on any darters you have questions on.

You can keep bluespots with tropicals and livebearers would be excellent tankmates for them. They are most likely not going to spawn for you though in such conditions. Most NA natives require a thermal cycle in order to spawn. This cooling and warming triggers the fish that it is time to spawn. You could always give it a shot though. Keep them in a tank with a sponge filter. They prefer little to no flow. Also provide a ton of plants, the more the better. If you can no longer see your fish most of the time then it is just about right. Feed them tons of live foods, with the occasional frozen or freeze dried treat and see what happens.
