Does anyone know anything about bullheads?? I know there is a good article on them in the native forum, and i already read it. But what type of bullhead would fit in a 125?? What is their primary diet?? Would they eat other fish?? Would it be hard to get them to eat frozen food?? Any personal experiences would be great.

Very Interesting fish.
I started with a 3/4" black bullhead just over a year ago. Today he stretches the tape at
11". Very active and an absolute glutton. There is absolutly nothing that I put in that it does not consume. A 125g should provide a good tank size for these fish. Max sizes do list out at around 20 inches, however it would be interesting to hear from members on the largest size that anyone has been able to raise in their tanks. Article in the natives by Sandtiger is very good.

Sounds good. Would they be able to eat minnows?? Are they active during the day?? How big of a fish would they be able to eat? Do they make good scavengers? Would they do ok in about 77-78 degree water? Are they aggressive? Whats the best substrate for them?? Are they too messy for a sand substrate? Do they dig too much?

i have a bullhead right now its about 4-5in. in a 20 gallon soon to be moved to a 150 gallon....as far as i know bullheads will eat anything they get in theryre mouths minnows, earthworms, frozen stuff etc. im tryin to get mine on pellets but theyre not pickey eaters at all
a bullhead should be good for a 125 it may outgrow it eventually but you will be able to have it in there for quite sometime
