Hi squad.I need an advice.Few days ago I bought one 4" L177 for my geophagus/acara tank ,really beautiful fish.Apart of the other fish I have 2 bristlenoses , fighting back the algae.Yesterday I recognised that the new plecos fins are torn.The suspect was the tank boss - mature neonblue acara,which is usually easy going,but just there was no other suspect.Today while I was feeding them,I witnessed brutal attack over the newcomer,attacker was one of the bristlenoses. Though way smaller than the gold nug.,he was ferociously attacking and chasing him all over the tank.Immediately removed the aggressor.Do you think that if I keep him separated for a week and put him back after it will help?Or any other solution?I want them both,as I don't know how effective will be the gold nug. against algae,but also don't want the expensive fish to be bullied and killed.The second bristlenose does not show aggression.Thank you.
