My talapia (3") is beating up on my ck (10") i think hes gonna kill him i have no other tank to move him to as they are all occupied....is there anything i can do to ease the aggression on my ck....there in a 75 gallon with a 12" aro and bout an 14" tire track.....I need help i dont wanna lose my ck!
Only 3 inches and he's gonna be a killer! Butti's are like that. Some are born crazy and some are compatible with others. If he's picking on fish 3 times his size, you need to put a divider up (since you don't have another tank), or get rid of him. Posted via Mobile Device
The only thing I can suggest is to put up a divider in the tank. Find a Tap Plastics near you and they can custom make a divider that will fit the interior of your tank's measurements. You can drill holes in the divider for water circulation in the tank.
Most pet stores sell some sort of divider...
Do you have a home depot or other hardware store nearby? If so look there for light diffuser panels (sometimes referred to as egg crate). It's a plastic grid that you cn cut to size to make your own divider. It will need to be anchored inside the tank somehow. You can put suction cups on each side of it and bury the bottom in the gravel. My personal method is to get some of the foam pipe insulation (also at HD), put it on the two sides and top and wedge the divider into place using that.

Thanks andy ill see if i can try your way...i just that i be at work all day and come home to a beat up ck he/she needs to get some heart and fight back
I suppose, but that means most likely having a divider in there long term, which is not good if you consider the tank swimming space some of the other fish need
