my sengelus has has had bump in his belly and im concerned its been there for 3 days. He not very big so i cant imagine he ate a rock, any suggestions?

do you use gravel? is so he prob did.

mine has a huge gut. has had for months. got a sand bottom so it cant be rocks. tried every suggestion that i was given. i changed so much water and salt that it was more work than my seahorses. mine is healthy just looks like it swallowed a golf ball. but feel free to try changing water adding salt, changing foods, changing temps, aeration, bla bla bla bla

yeah i use gravel but it like river stone and there pretty decent size. I guess maybe he could have but he would have to really try to eat one, if so anything i can do to help him?

i've heard that they can break it down over time. don,t know how true it is. if it is a stone may be best to let it be and switch to sand or large stone. trying to remove it would almost certinly do more damage than good. and if after youwrestle it around and stick somthing down it's throat what if it isn't a stone at all?just my 2 cents

I have gargantuant young senegals as well... also looking like they swallowed golf balls. They seem happy enough and act normally so I wouldn't worry unless the fish's attitude or apetite is affected.

Best case scenerio its a bit of food that needs digesting
worse case scenerio its a small piece of gravel which could cause a intestenal blockage
what can you do? Nothing but wait and see -Anne

i saw mine eat gravel i tried to stop him but he swallowed it luckally it passed with no problems but for some reason thay like to eat gravel sometimes
