How could I stop my aro from rubbing on the glass? He’s developed a huge bump on his lip and it isn’t going away. Tried melafix, salt and heat temp bump and nothing seems to get rid of it. Any suggestions?

It’s not infectious so meds and salt won’t work. Just a response of the body to the frequent contact. Gotta try placing a lot of heavy plants all along the sides and hope it deters the fish. Also a larger tank sad to say if the tank is small.

Just added some last night, do you think some dithers would help??

Dithers can spook the aro in that tank so I’d say pass.
Gotcha, yeah I plan on upgrading him to a custom built 7ftx32” tank but that’s probably about as big as I can go in my place unfortunately. I also thought about building him a 8x8ft pond in the backyard and leave him out there all summer. I do feel that part of this is because he’s currently crammed in a standard 220 gal
