bump on german rams head? what is it!!

so the other day I went to feed my fish.
which I do every day.
and I noticed my favorite most colorful male ram
had a bump above and a tad in the center of his eye
I IMMEDIATELY SEPERATED HIM!!!
I thought it was a start of hole in the head syndrome
but.. its still a bump not an indention.. but its in about the same place
i noticed today it looks like it is red around the center
i have him seperated in a 5 gallon bucket with a biowheel temp is about 94 and a tbsp of salt and fungus and ich meds for safety...

WHAT COULD IT BE?
I can't find my camera..
or I'd put of a pic.

help plz
should I put him back
its not hole in the head.
i've got him in a tank with another male.. (although this one is the alpha)
rosy barbs ropes bichir serpa tetra giant danio and blood parrots.
could he have gotten bitten. or something
got a scale pulled.
what is it i can't figure it out for the life of me.
totally throwing me for a loop
 
ill give you a hint pictures alwas help get things like this answered
 
I'll work on that tomorrow.
but for now
could a pulled scale from a fight cause raised bump
could any disease you can of cause a raised bump in what looks like the lateral line

Pic is WAY too big...Resize them next time...Looks like minor damage...Do nothing other than keep up on WC's and perhaps add a tiny amount of salt...Like 1 tsp per 5 gallons....

when it first started..
I took him out asap.
it started as a bump.. scales intact...
but swelling definitely I put him in a 5 gallon bucket for a few days with 15 filtration fungus and bacterial meds and salt... and i raised the temp to like.. mid 90's.....
but now it looks like that.. could it be hole in teh head..
I HOPE NOT!!!!!
he lost most of his color but he is the best looking one I have. (a sure beaut)
