bump on RBP bottom jaw???

so i notice a couple of my reds have this bump on there lower jaw right infront its noticeable and yeah was curious if anyone knew what can cause this and i really cant explain any better lol im try take a pic......
 
right in the front? that is normally from running into or swimming against the glass

Chank, chimple develops on fish when they constantly rub their chin against some hard surface which injuries their skin tissue and then new tissue grows around it to protect the wound. if they keep on rubbing against such surface the chimple will grow larger and larger.
 
I normally put plants and wood and decoration up against the sides of the tank. Also I use those flexible black foam bubble wands across the back and one side. That seems to keep them from swiming agianst the glass so much.

Yup all Rhoms get them it suck im going to make invention to stop that pillows on the class lol or something see through and soft haha
 
frequent water changes + more decor + pristine water will get rid of the chimple pretty fast.

My brandtii and manuelli both had them initially, but went away with frequent water changes.
