Hi all,
I have a baby motaguense that suddenly developed bumps on the head. The motaguense is only about 1.5" and has been healthy for more than a month (I have only had him for that time). I then isolated the fish in a hospital tank and the bumps started growing white protrusions out of them....like the start of seedling or something.
Bumps are about 2 mm in diameter (not round, but just to give perspective of size) and seem to be increasing in size around the head only. Head now seems distored because of the bumps. Previously the fish was unaffected but now seem lethargic. None of his prior tankmates seem affected thus far.
I have a hard time taking pics as the fish is now reclusive. Without a pic, can you guys ID this disease?

- What is it?
- What caused it?
- Are my other fish in danger?
- How do I fix it and/or protect the other previous tankmates?
