Burger King's Cologne is a Meat-Scented Body Spray
Some of Burger King's Menu Items Cost More Than Burger King Cologne

An unidentified person at Burger King who came up with the idea for Burger King Cologne. "Flame" is a body spray or cologne that makes the user smell like a flame-broiled Whopper. He or she (don't rule out a she) at Burger King must have had the Burger King Cologne brainstorm late in the planning process. Otherwise, the story would have come out sooner than with only 7 shopping days remaining until Christmas.
Still, plenty of time remains for Burger King to sell plenty of bottles of Burger King Cologne as gag gifts. At $4 per bottle, Burger King's Flame is actually cheaper than most of those other gags, such as a lump of coal in a tin can.
One problem for Burger King is that a bottle of Flame, at $4, also is cheaper than some of Burger King's ground beef entrees, even before you opt for the accompanying fries and soda pop. The Angus Steakburgers -- the ones with those weird french fried onions on top -- run in excess of $5. As for those friend fried onions, they would be best left atop the green bean casserole on the holiday dinner table.
A visit to the neighborhood Burger King shows that that there actually are "combo meals" that cost more than $7, and this is before they are "value sized." Keep in mind, Burger King is supposed to be a fast-food place. You can actually sit down at a real restaurant such as Olive Garden or Red Lobster, or better yet your local family dinner and order a lunch special for less than what you would shell out at Burger King.
That said, the idea for Burger King Cologne seems that it will constitute a Big Score in the marketing world. After all, you're reading this now.
As always, people in New York City get to be special. You can buy a bottle of Burger King's Flame in person at Rickey's in New York City. Otherwise, you have to go to firemeetsdesire.com to place your order.
On firemeetsdesire.com, you will see that weird Burger King TV ad character in various poses. We learn that he simply is known as "The King." He hasn't made much of an impact, compared to Ronald McDonald or the former Taco Bell chihuahua. The King could use a boost. If he's wearing a splash of Flame, maybe The King could change his name to "Sweet Meat."
