i recently built my burmese a 7x3x2 enclosure and i have been wondering if i should change the substrate or not i used aspen in his other one but had some trouble keeping humidity where i wanted it and really dont feel like buying 3-4 bags of aspen each time i clean it out

so let me know what you big burm keepers use as substrate and what works best

thanks in advance

I've always been a big fan or dimpled Kraft paper from Uline I keep all my boids on it, minus my ARS CB-70 rack.

Holds the mess, provides a bit of texture and doesn't leave writing on the animal....

Kraft paper and or newspaper. Anything else is a hassle. I've never had an issue with ink on the animals though.

My snow used to get ink on him...its not a big deal since most companies use organic ink now. Makes for bad pictures...
