That is a sand snake all right and a very pretty one. Put it in sand and she may never even notice him. They stay buried most of the time anyway. :D

i get the feeling your reading into my sig,its a quote from another thread,lol.My girlfreind hase her own house right now so I got no worries what i get,lol.Shes more afraid of meal worms than anything :ROFL:This is a beautiful snake though.Just seems more like a boa to me than a python.It lays eggs though.
 
I used to have one. Really weird, but kinda boring IMO. Plus, sometimes its hard for them to take mice. You have to start them off with rat pups, which aren't always easy to find.
 
It has bee recently discovered by genetic analisis that calabar pythons are in reallity the only species of egg laying boa :WHOA: So you are rigth:headbang2

Not a sand snake, Calabaria reinhardtii like much more forest-type environments. Needs humid, not desert caging.
