Does anyone have a picture? A LFS has one in there labeled as one but it's not like what I thought they looked like.

47120.jpg The male has long whiskers the female very short if any..they can come in various colors including albino

I knew they were wrong..... freakin retards at the lfs, the pleco that they have posted as a bushy nose looks like just yer regular pleco but with white tips on his fins. Any idea what he may be?

too many plecos to tell you with out a picture...

the common bushynose has white tips on the fins and can have no nose bristles for a while.

Yes they will grow them whiskers..if they are a male they will be bushy whiskers ..female light little stubbles...they get about 3-4 inches..

the only way i know of is the bushy the whiskers are the more chance it would be male.. if i were looking into a tank of a few of them.. i would choose one that has the most whiskers and one who has the least.. to get a breeding pair.. or buy a few of each...i will try and get a couple pics of my bushys later.. and post them for you
