Hi! I've read on a few sites on the web about a fish called Butis Butis or the Duck-billed Sleeper, but i can't find them for sale anywhere. Does anyone know where i could get one ? Thanks!
Well, they max out at under 6", 5" is more usual. They are not fond of acidic water but tolrate FW, BW, and SW. Predatory but not aggressive. Like having driftwood to lurk on or near.
crazy fish haw we'll haven't seen them for a long time kind of whish i had goten one but i didn't have the time to set up a brackish tank some are kind of lazy but others can move alot and who doesn't like a fish that can change color to blend in and they will hang upside down at the top of the tank and under things waiting for prey but the down side is when you find them you better get them cause they don't come by often and from what i'm told they are pretty hard to get onto prepared foods
hey there is one at my local fish store but is it possible to keep adults in freshwater forever? i read they adapt well to any kind of water but was wondering if they can be in fresh all year long
so do you think i have to feed it feeders it's entire life?
I just saw these yesterday at a new LFS that just opened up out in Temecula. I think its the exact same one. It was only labeled as a sleeper but it looks exactly like it. Acts like how KILLERFISH describes.
