I just acquired a 23'' black aro and its Annis seams to be protruding i didnt notice this ween i got her yesterday, i may have missed it anyone know what that means, if anything.

protruding anus will eventually heal.
try just feeding it Hikari pellets.
It is some foods (mostly live) that cause that.

It's protruding anus (PA). Caused by infection in the intestine where food is not easily digested in there. Could be caused by anything you fed to the fish.

A dose of 0.3% epsom salt will work as a laxatives to clear the fish bowel. Try "meaty" diet for now till it heal.:)

this tends to derive from fatty foods, such as wonderworms. I'd say, as has been said already, fast it for a couple of days and get her on pellets.

I have a jar who had a monster bulge in her anus for more than a month ( looked like a fat pink sausage hanging there ) Eventually it disappeared.
