Is there anything about small butterfly gobies that would be hard for them that anyone knows of? Like do they do better with more than one? I have had 2 die on me and I can not figure out what is going on with them. I have brackish water tank with an albino moray and a leopard bushfish that have been no problems in this tank but when I have added a butterfly goby each time they died the first time within a week and this time just at 2 weeks. I appreciate any advice. I think butterfly gobies look cool.

What kind of setip do you have? Some gobies need things that grow naturally in the substrate on the reef. Your tank might not be able to provide the correct food. Maybe thats why they are dieing.

I have nothing living except the fish in my tank. I have not observed either butterfly goby I have had eating. I was feeding frozen blood worms to the feeder guppies and leopard bushfish which did eat with no problems. I would eventually like to try another butterfly after I finish training and get settled in on my new job. At this point I will also get a larger tank than what my moray and bushfish are in.
