Once a Buttikoferi reaches about 4" they usually snap! Not always the case, but it will eventually be a problem and the JD will be the loser. Butti's are beautiful fish and do best in a tank by themselves.

the only tank mates for a butti are red devil, dovi, umbee, texas blue or red terror... This will only work for a little while until one "snaps"... Unless you have like a thousand gallon that is packed to the gil with fish.... for example a zoo tank!!! lol

butti and JD would not be fair lol
