anybody have any stories of there own ? , i had two that were mating and moving all the stones in my tank they were kicking the tar out of all my other fish [ severums parrots and geos ] i had to give them away to the pet store because they were so mean , i had never seen anything like it and i have had all kinds of aggressive fish .

i did go back to visit them a few weeks later and they had bullied a large oscar into submission [ they had to move the oscar out of the tank ] ,then i went back again a few weeks later and they had to seperate the male and female because the male was beating up the female to mate [ i guess she wasnt in the mood :)

any stories ?

Oscars, geos, severums and the like are NOT to be mixed with "aggressive" cichlids - That was a mistake on your part. In the proper community, they would have been awesome for you.
I have raised several groups of them, and always LOVE them!

well that is just like a pair of convicts, a mating pair will destroy anything and everything...

i thought they are very shy when small.. saw them in lfs.. small one always hide behind a wood or a stone..
ONLY when small ;)

I had 3 that grew to about 6 inches, then when I was gon for the weekend, they bred and killed/shredded everything in the tank (some 5" mbunas, and the smaller butterkoferi). That polluted the tank so much that they were all dead by the time I got home.
