I went to my local fish store and was able to score a pair of butti that was in with some other buttis and had to buy the pair. Here are some pics,

Perfect pick up. this is a fish i absolutely love and havent ever got to own yet. How much did it set you back for the pair. usually lfs are rediculous with fish we all know that. My old lfs was the worst. Had a 10" and 8" or so pair of regular jags for 350 breeding pair they would breed in there private 4x3 glass tank. And the male had a crocked spine from the previous owners small a-s tank im sure. But if they were in a tank with a bunch of other ones they were probaully to dumn to know they were a pair. Good score. What are they in right now? Are they by them selfs? complete pics and set up would be great. 2 grow these guys up and dedicate a 240 two them to breed in would be awsome. Good pick up if you decide you do not want to house these any more ever. Let me know
i paid like 30 for them , they were with other butti and i was the tank and I noticing them chasing away all the other butti so i know a pair had formed and I quickly decided to get them, I have them in a 55 gal for right now by themselves with nothing else I had two clown loaches in there at first but decided to move them, there doing alot of diggin around but no breeding yet and not sure what to food them as they dont seem to interested in pellets have kept one in the past and it loved snails and crayfish think i might try some crayfish its cool to watch them attack crayfish
