I know you can do all crushed coral with african cichlids like the lake cichlids but what about the buttikoferi? seems like they can have higher ph so i am assuming it wouldnt be a problem. is there any issue with this?

I wouldn't see an issue with it. Most buttis can tolerate a wide ph range

Cool thanks. I think I'll drop in some driftwood to help balance it a little better. Plus help it look more natural.
