Hello, I have a 150 gallon tank with a 8" - 9" Butti and some red jewels. The fish grew up together in a 75 gallon till the Butti was about 5" and the jewels were 3-4 inches. Then i bought a 150 gallon tank exactly 17 months ago and put them all in it. I have had no problems until about 2 weeks ago. My Butti will not eat any more. His diet is mainly algae wafers and flake food or pellets.
My filtration is a Rena Filstar XP3 and 2 aqua clear 500's The only thing I have done is completely re arranged the tank with some different rocks-plants etc. But since I have done this he will not eat. He just sits in corner near the top of the tank and swims backwards or attacks the glass. He shows no aggresion towrds the other fish. He isnt even digging like he used to do. I have noticed that he has not secreted any waste, or I see a tiny hair like secretion and it is white which is bothering me. Any Ideas?

white stringy poop usually means internal parasite. The only time ive ever encountered i fed jungle brand pepso food and then treated the whole tank to kill off any parasites. two fish i bought had it, one ate the pepso food and lived the other didnt make it. i soaked the food in garlic juice to entice them. go to the disease section for better info because i am no expert, good luck
