Hello,

I'm going to have an empty 75 gallon soon and have decided on a butti.
I'm assuming their just like any other large cichlid to keep right?

What's the growth rate like?

I know how aggressive they can get, so are their any possible tankmates at all?

As far as growth rate I'd say they grow some what fast, definitely not Oscar fast but not slow. As far as tank tank mates in a 75 unlikely

Tankmates 99% of the time will not.work out. I have one about 1.5 years old. To give you an idea on growth I got him at 1.5" hes now 8".
