Has anyone tried to keep bichirs with buttikoferi? I have my Butti in a 75g with a BN Pleco and thought about putting something like a P. palmas in there. The Butti is pretty belligerent (i had to remove a JD who kept getting his ass kicked), I'm wondering if this would work. Never kept bichirs before but they look REALLY COOL. Do you think I would be overstocked with the Butti, Palmas and BN?

i had a buttikoferi in my 200g for a few months. It killed 1-2 cichlids but never bothered the poly´s.
would work in a bigger tank i guess. i had a 12" mayan cichlid mean as hell, moved my Ornate over to his tank cause i thought id give it more space and he was killed overnight.

200g is a completely different story to a 75g. The cichlid will want the entire 75g as his territory and will end up damaging or killing the bichir. Same thing happened to a friend with a 10" texas cichlid and a 15" ornate.....
