Yes I know it's a West African cichlid I can't figure out how to post to the Africans.. Sorry anyway
here is my question
I have a 4 inch tilapia I know these fish are psychotic... but mine is very shy and scared right now i just moved into a 75 gallon by himself. I've heard after they hit about 6 inches they go nuts. Just wondering if anybody has owned them and could give me an idea when mine will quit hiding from me

Strange, generally, they are not shy, especially when young...

As with all cichlids it just depends on the fish, add some dithers to keep him busy... maybe a half dozen red jewels, my old big one didn't start killing until he was 14inch but that was in my 300g.
Alternatively just wait and see, how long has it been in the tank?
I'm sure before long it will be stacking all the substrate up one end!-)
