Anyone know of any sources to buy tiny snails for my Amazon Puffer?

Any info will be greatly appreciated!

Cheers

Jack

You can go to your LSF and get some for free. I used to do that all of the time with my puffer. They would just put them in a bag for me then I started breeding my own. Also yuou can breed them yourself. SUPER easy and they multiply like crazy.

First off, Thanks for a speedy response!

& I've been to a couple of my local LSF's and they're a nightmare.. "We don't keep them" blah blah!

I like the idea about breeding them though.. what are they're requirements when breeding?

Cheers =D

All you have to is get a betta tank (this is how I bred mine) and put them in their, fed them. Changed the water like you would with fish, fed them nutricious foods, even veggies. Then they started breeding like crazy. Keep the light on all day, they like the heat and it makes them breed.

Thankyou, I shall give it a whirl! :nilly:

Okay! Good luck.

or your LFS and but some "bushy" plants that have snail eggs on them.. look for a slimy egg sac and say "I'll take that one" :)

Just walk outside and scoop some up. Quarantine them for a few weeks and you're good to go. It would be risky if you did this all the time, but since your first culture will probably last forever, it's fine. Really. I did it. No problems. Try to find snails from a body of water with no fish for even safer chances.
