buying 2 rays from the same place?

Well I'm going to be buying 2 hystrix in about 3 months give or take a couple weeks. I want to buy a male and female from the same place do you think this would be ok what are the chances they would be brother and sister? It should be ok right? Since it won't be from a breeder eathier an importer or a store. Thanks in advance

I have just bought two motoro rays from TFD and i was thinking along the same lines as you are. So i bought two females. I wanted to get them acclimated and settled in before i brought in a male. They had two males and two females, my thoughts were there is no doubt they were related, since they were all the same size. This way when i bring in a male down the line i'm pretty sure it isn't related!

There is almost no chance that you will get related rays....99% especially when your buying from wholesaler/ distributor.

ya i didnt think so just makin sure. my lfs has a rectic tiny and i was thinkin i might get him to go with my hystrix but then i tought if im gonna have 3 rays i mgiht as well just add another female hystrix. brad i will give you a call when the tank is all set up should be soon may 6 we will have the stand and may 7 or 8th it will have water in it and be ready since im gonna run all my filters on another already cycled tank it should be a way faster cycle then im gonna add some fish let it sit for about a month and it will be a nice ray tank
