Hey guys,
I am planning to buy a 2.5-3 inch arowana from my LFS for about $25 with no egg sack. I currently have a 2 inch peacock bass, 3 inch black ghost knife, 2.5 inch dinosaur bichir, and 2 1.5 inch angel fish. I am worried about it possibly getting bullied by the other fish. I was thinking about building a divider, but i am not sure. They are all in a 40 gallon fish tank in my room, don't worry I have a 150 gallon for when they grow big! Any advice or problems you see ?

The arowana should be raised by itself until 5-6" and then only select few tankmates up till about 11". Eventually your gonna need a lot bigger then a 150g tank to house an arowana. More research and better plans would benefit you before buying the arowana.

I would advise to stay away from the silver unless you can get a +400 gallon aquarium. The 40 and 150 will only hold you for about 14 months until you need a larger aquarium.

Agreed! but if you insist on getting the aro now, I would get the 150 ready and forget dividing the 40 with those fish. Then plan on a 3foot wide tank for the future if you keep long term
