I may be buying a possibly gravid female red stripe cornsnake. This would be the second snake i have kept. I have only kept a juvenile bull snake before. I was wondering if attempting to hatch eggs would be a good idea to try although im pretty inexperienced. I have been researching for corn snakes and other colubrids for the past year now, including breeding and hatching them. I have most of the materials for building an incubator and all that. So do you think this could be done by someone newish to keeping snakes? The worst that i can think of happening is losing a clutch of eggs.

Are they shipping the snake? If so, maybe it's just me but I would be concerned about shipping a gravid female. There is the possibility of the stress causing the female to be egg-bound.
Yes it would be shipped. I thought they only become egg-bound when they cant find a place too lay. Or something. I think i read that when i was looking up turtles. i dont know xD

Surprised they would ship it gravid as cool as it would be. Ive not had experience with a gravid colubrid but it dosnt sit easy with me shipping it, hopefully someone else can chime in on it. Hopefully someone with experience on it. So kinda bumping this for ya.
