I'm looking to buy an african cichlid that is yellow. Something that gets around the 6-8in. mark.

Whitie's Pets in Fresno has a male Yellow Lab that's right around 6" for sale. I'll probably be going over there the next day or two, I can confirm if it's still there for ya.
Holy cow I didn't know they were still in business! I went there to get all my iguana stuff. Yes please let me know if it's there.

Yeah, they still in business. They have probably the largest selection of fish in my area, but they are also the most expensive. I'll run over there this afternoon to check that Lab.
Cool. a couple pictures of their stock would be cool too if possible.

Well, Just got back from the shop and the Lab is still there. He's between 6-7" and they're asking $19.99. I do apologize for the crappy quality of my cell phone camera.
They also have a second one that's about 5" but looks a little beat up for $9.99. I didn't get a photo of him though.
If you have a monster tank though, they also have 3 or 4 Emperor Cichlids that have a bit of yellow to them, around 9" for $24.99.

Wow, they're selling emperor cichlids...they should be kept in the wild...most people can't properly house them long term .... they're cheap too, people are going to be buying them and sticking them in their 55gs or 75gs
But anyway, that big of a yellow lab for $19.99 isn't that bad or expensive really and a good choice

They've had those Emperors for at least 2 months now. I first noticed them a while back and at the very least, the shop did write that the fish get over 4' length right next to the price. There's only 3 or 4 fish left from the 10+ they started with. No idea if they sold the others or they died off awaiting sale.
I do find it kind of funny that they sell those at 25 bucks, but right next to this sale tank they have a display tank with a ~3" VC-10 at $60.00 I can go to petsmart and get the same fish >3" for 13 bucks.
