my b day coming up next month and i want a light for a 29 (planted) gallon.i was looking at the corallife130 watt......is there something better for the price out there(around 160$) and what will i be able to grow with that light

Cheaper is not always good, many cheaper fixtures have poor reflectors, and/or aren't sealed for moisture.jcardona1;1975357;1975357 said:

Depends on the actual wattage of the bulbs. That kind of lighting though should put you in high lighting.movitt;1977816;1977816 said:

I run the same fixture on a 20G planted, but I use flourish excel. You might consider running both diy co2 and excel. If one bottle of co2 isn't enough, you can always make more, which does make for a more stable environment.
