Buying a silver Arowanas online

Can anyone recommend me a good fish dealer in the us.
i was planning to get a few from NE-chiclids but they dont have anymore. =/
I would like them to be about 2-3 inches.
i really don't want to order from the larger retail fish like liveaquaria and rather help out the smaller guys in fish retail.
 
Make sure you can house a couple in the future when they get bigger if you're planning to buy a couple now.
 
Can anyone vouch for riverwonders, i remember reading a bad review on this site a few weeks ago. which deterred me to find another retailer.
 
Just my opinion but Riverwonders is really bad at communicating with you. I once tried to order 2 baby arapaimas and paid and everything but never heard from them. Decided to call them about my fish and they said, they will be getting them in that weekend and will be in my hands on Monday or Tuesday. Monday and Tuesday comes around and nothing! Called them and they said the shipping date was postponed to next week...This went on for like 2 months until I finally just told them to give me my money back. All to say I got my money back, but they shouldn't really be selling fish that they don't have in stock.....not a very nice first time experience trying to order fish online. BTW at that time Riverwonders was still on MFK vendors list...

BUT I don't know about their other stock...the baby silvers are very tempting but I don't want it to be like the same experience as last time.
 
i have a 125 gallon to house them in for now. I have a few friends that would like to get some which is why im trying to order two or three of them. It sucks living in Arkansas, so hard to find a good LFS.

I wouldnt want to deal with that too, when im spending a hundred bucks on fishes.

One smart thing to do is actually to call them and see if they have the fish you want in stock. (That is if they do that). I should have done this from the start and I just might order those silvers if they have them in stock.

If your tank is the standard 18" then you'd have to upgrade in a bit more than a year, maybe even before a year. Just make sure you can upgrade when the time comes.
 
i am still ticked at riverwonders. i ordered 5 pbass once. 2 weeks went by. i called and he said they would be there in 2 days, waited all day, nothing. called him again, he said sorry they will be there in 2 days, waited all day nothing. third time again said they would be there in 2 days, again nothing. no refund. not professional at all
 
if they sell fish that they don't even have in stock, i doubt i can gaurentee a healthy fish when they eventually come to me. You are right it is very unprofessional.

So anyone else have suggestions, where i could get some?
